Katerina Mavroidis is a sculptor and ceramic artist whose work explores the fluid boundaries of identity, transformation, and belonging.Born Greek-Chinese, raised in Greece, England and Switzerland; trained as an architect at UC Berkeley; started ecological greenroofs in Greece before earning a Tuck MBA at Dartmouth. Seasoned by creative strategy roles across New York, Beijing, London.Katerina currently lives in Athens, Greece with her husband and three children.-------------------------------------------------Fluid forms that stretch and contract, my sculptures refuse to sit still, much like my identity.Design, dance and nature inspire movement in my work, to reveal shifting terrains of human vulnerability: where belonging is both a promise and a provocation, and where growth and dissolution are perpetual dance partners.Simultaneous journeys into motherhood and my father's progressive neurological illness carved transformation into my sculptural practice—one expanding, one receding, both revealing the delicate architecture of human experience.Sculptures become stories—
each piece is a fragmented narrative: layered, evolving, continuously in motion.
